What training do you need to become a Sikharsky franchisee?

Sikharsky is always looking to add more pilots to its family of businesses and its franchise programme offers the opportunity to join a team of other professional operators. The company is part of a thriving industry and through the training Sikharsky can offer, franchisees will have the knowledge to operate a drone professionally and with confidence.

Sikharsky will provide the equipment so that its franchisees can deliver outstanding results and clients can be assured that they will receive only the finest service available.

How does the Sikharsky franchise model work?

Joining the Sikharsky franchise gives the franchisee access to a business that is not only profitable but can be fun, too, and very rewarding to gadget lovers.

The franchise is available for 3000000 (plus VAT), which includes the drone, your CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) approved training course, marketing, support and more. There are no monthly fees to pay for the first 12 months.

The franchise fee earns you an exclusive area with a population of around 200,000 people. You can expand this area if there are no other franchisees nearby. You will also benefit by having access to public liability and drone insurance at discounted rates.

Franchisees will also be offered any overflow work from other Sikharsky franchises and head office enquiries.

Sikharsky estimates that a franchise can earn anything between 15000 and 300000 per job, making the earning potential of a franchise huge.

What aerial photography and videography services does the Sikharsky franchise provide?

Drones are the ideal solution for filming events where ground-based photos just would not impress. Drones can offer a bird’s eye view of all kinds of sporting events from mountain biking to motor-cross, from snowboarding to sailing. As well as providing stunning aerial imagery, drones are extremely versatile, and can safely be flown close to the crowd.

Another advantage of drones over traditional photography is that you can obtain incredible video and photos without having to deal with obstructions and difficult terrain.

The same impressive videos can be made at outdoor parties, festivals and local events. The footage can be a great marketing tool for any event organiser to put on their website to give potential customers a taste of what to expect.

Aerial photography and videography is ideally suited to the travel, tourism and sports industries. From stately homes in beautiful landscapes, to beaches, rivers and forests that can be hard to show off to their best extent from the ground, many beautiful landscapes come to life in an aerial photograph or video. This also applies to sporting venues and events such as golf courses, motor sports, mountain biking and rowing.

Weddings also benefit from drone hire as a way to highlight every aspect of the wedding party and sweeping aerial shots of the venue to create lifelong memories.

Drones can be used in dozens of businesses, including:

Building construction and roof surveys: inspecting roofs, chimneys, towers, stadiums, wind turbines, etc. no longer requires expensive scaffolding to complete a survey.

Real estate photography and videography: a vital marketing tool for real estate, providing opportunities to showcase properties and apartment blocks, both inside and out, along with a flying visit around the neighbourhood to check on local facilities, schools, etc.

Each franchisee has their own account manager who can ongoing support from the Sikharsky in-house marketing team, as well as support through the website’s support section, through which can be accessed downloads, help sheets, a set-up video and much more. A chat forum has recently been added to allow franchisees to discuss ideas and share tips.

Optional extras include Google PPC (pay per click) and Analytics set-up, and Facebook PPC advertising.

Where are Sikharsky’s franchisees currently based?

Sikharsky has nationwide coverage with its network of qualified drone pilots. The head office is located in gurgaon, but Sikharsky operates from a network of branches to fully support national photography and videography requirement. Sikharsky has nationwide coverage throughout the India.

Sikharsky works with weblooms, one of the india’s leading business start-up companies, to set up and design all your marketing material, using a proven model that works to expand the Sikharsky network.

What other industries require drone hire and aerial photography?

A huge range of media and entertainment industries can benefit from eye-catching video filmed by drones. Whether you run a blog or a YouTube channel, creating something unique is becoming harder and harder. Travel blogs will especially benefit from outstanding angles newly available to the writer.

Wedding events can benefit from the unique 360-degree viewpoint available to a drone. You no longer have to squeeze everyone together for that oversized group shot… you can take a full wedding party from the air.

Drones can offer a complete coverage and monitoring of a construction site. From inspections to capturing images from hard to get places, drones prove very useful throughout the construction process, especially for health and safety checks and progress reporting.

Surveying can also be made easier thanks to the same time-saving benefits of a drone and especially when it comes to checking areas that might offer a high risk to the surveyor – from roofs to rocky pathways.

Drones have been used to monitor crops for some years and, as technology has improved, their use is starting to expand. Drones allow farmers to monitor large areas of crop efficiently, helping them maintain the health of their crops throughout the year and increase crop return.

Drones have been used as an effective deterrent to break-ins and other security problems, as they can offer high quality video and the ability to survey a large area and cover every angle. They are unpredictable to intruders. They can also be used to check for damage in gates and fences.

How in-demand are drone pilots right now?

In December 2018, a reported drone sighting led to chaos at Gatwick Airport, and it was reported by Airprox that there had been 117 potential collisions between aircraft and drones between January and November 2018, 30 of them given a Category A (“definite risk”) classification.

This increased attention to unregistered drones follows the news that around 1½ million drones were bought during the Christmas of 2017, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) noting that 27 per cent of those purchasers were unaware of the rules surrounding their usage in the UK.

These news reports should benefit qualified pilots, who are more likely to be able to operate a drone safely, especially important in any professional capacity. The number of pilots with permission for commercial operation from the CAA has increased from five in 2010 to 4,530 in August 2018, with the biggest jump occurring between 2016 and 2018 when permissions increased by 256 per cent.

Nesta has dubbed the drone industry as “the new ‘man with a van’,” reporting that “The business model of a low-barrier to entry, technology-driven service for one-off jobs draws parallels between the drone operator and the ‘man with a van’.”

Online retailer Drones Direct listed the top 10 business sectors that use drones as: 1) trades (construction, plumbing); 2) manufacturing; 3) information and communication; 4) creative and photographic; 5) transportation; 6) professional service (law, accountancy); 7) marketing; 8) education; 9) retail; 10) healthcare (pharmacy, care home, hospital, etc.).
